All hell is gonna break loose there tonight & tomorrow!

To me this is about the people of America vs the corporations, the banksters, and the corrupt politicians.

Forget about union vs nonunion and democrat vs republican. Looks like American people are finally taking a stand on something. About time they woke up.

I want to preface this by saying that I hate the billion dollar corporations and their CEO's who make millions upon millions per year as much as the next guy, but..... Being from Wisconsin, I feel this move is necessary. The Democratic politicians in this state have taken their marching orders from the union kingpins for far too long- particularly the teacher's union. In my view, that's best for these public unions and their membership doesn't jive with what's best for the taxpayers in this state.

Meanwhile, this state has seen it's manufacturing job base erode year after year. It seems that most of the jobs have been lost to southern 'right to work' states- even as opposed to overseas. I say the above as a Libertarian who grew up in a union (blue collar) family.

Gil-- The unions are a portion of the problem no doubt, especially the leadership Im sure. However, and you would know this better than me, but it seems like Governor Walker is a typical corporate shill for the Koch brothers. He is obviously a liar being he has said this was about balancing the budget when clearly it is not. He gave millions in tax breaks to the corporations, and clearly just wants to bust the unions. Should be interesting there though tonight & tomorrow.

Doesn't giving the tax breaks encourage businesses to stay in the state and not move to another one that will give them?

Typical corporate shill perhaps. Did he not promise this would be something he would do should he win? Did he win? Did he do it? He gets mad props in my book. Obama promised us he would ram Obama care down our faces and he did. Move on man. You're just made because your democraps didn't get enough folks re-elected to keep the money sucking unions in control so Wisconsin could remain billions in debt.

I'm not sure whether Walker is a shill for the Kochs or not. I know that they bankrolled lots of 'Tea Party' type ads through a 'Political Action Committee' attacking Walker's opponent during the campaign. There is also talk of them purchasing some coal power plants in a sweetheart deal. Not sure whether that's B.S. or not. As I said, I don't really align with any party, but my gut tells me that Walker is trying to do the right thing by balancing the state budget without having to deal with collective bargaining by public employees each and every year. Going further, based on the prank call (someone got through to Walker pretending to be David Koch), I'm not sure if the two have ever even spoken before.

Yes in theory, they could use the extra cash to create more jobs, but in reality they'll give themselves a fat bonus, and expect more work in less time. Not all will do it but it is in theory, and not mandatory that they use the extra cash to create more jobs. I'm a laborer though and it's a reality in my job, that I've been expected to do more with less help than I had when we were doing less.
Just take a look at the stats for Ceo's sallary vs average employees sallary's now versus 20 years ago, that's not a theory it's a fact

I couldnt tell if that was sarcasm. I hope not, because it's true. If you're not the best at your job, you dont deserve it. You're worth what someone is willing to pay you, not what some union demands a company pay you. You do a job well, and you wont be unemployed for long. If you dont do a job well, then you better learn to do something else better.

It was NOT meant in a sarcastic way,it is the way big business is being run these days like Renochazz pointed out they tell you that due to the economy you have to tighten your belt, you have to do more with less help or else.
It is NOT that you are or have NOT been doing your job well.
