if notre dame can stay hot they can beat anyone..they are a senior laden team with 5 legite scorers, and everyone can hit the 3's...if they are hot like they have been for most of the season, they'll go far

ND, OOC wins over WI, Gonz, GA & CA. At least they played and beat somebody.

UNC was a bubble team until conference play. Shocking they were awarded a 2

Florida? beat K St OOC when K St sucked. Between UNC & FL, best OOC win

SD St, mids to FF is very very very rare. Mids winning it never never never happens

Like before the season started ? About the same time UCONN was passing out cash wrapped in bubble-wrap? Huskies racing Wildcats for the throne that is sitting on the bottom of the stinky slimy dirty bathroom bottom of the pool.

I'm not sure there's a coherent thought, never mind an accurate statement, to be found

but riddle me this ole wise one, why doesn't Jimmy get the burger boys UNC & Duke & UK get? is he not offering enough money?

why does Jimmy pay 30+ & 50+ & 100+ recruits to come to CT? you think he pays them so he can mold them into NBA players and make their dreams come true?

kinda weird to me

I attended the UConn v Bucknell game last night in Verizon D.C. Trust me, everybody hates UConn (and there was some nice NCAA old Huggy V Calhoun symmetry in this pairing). Bucknell had a large loud, fun crowd. Wasn't about UConn playing in hostile Big East territory. Was about UConn displacing Duke as the most hated slimy team in the 68. That said, K Walker is the absolute real deal and is an unstoppable freak who can toy with anyone on the floor (including his own team-which is another subject). As an ACC fan, I was not overly impressed with UConn and Cinn. These two teams are big but if they miss shots and the game gets running, then they get scatterbrained. UConn shot lights out and Walker had some to do with that, but overall both of these Big East teams are vulnerable vs. a stronger well-coached quick team (regarding UConn, Walker has to be contained and I'm not sure there are any diagrams on any coaches scratchboard to do this).

UConn never gets support in Big East arenas, never did.

Hoyas & Nova & Cuse & Johnie fans are all pissed we surpassed them and never looked back. They long for the 80's.

and the underdog is always always always the sentimental favorite, except when UNC and Duke are playing. They are the only two programs in the country that get 2 home games each and every year.

Of course Jimmy doesn't pay players, he doesn't get the players teams would pay for, case closed. He gets kids with potential and he molds them into men, that's the real Jim Calhoun. The maker of men.

I'm the last person on earth to worry about being liked. My two favorite coaches of all time are Jim Calhoun & Bill Belichick. Neither ones gives two fucks what stupid people think, and even less about what reporters think.

(BTW: my stupid people comment is in no way directed at you, I want to make sure there is no misunderstanding there)

Look into the entire recruiting and signing of Rudy Gay.

Look into the entire recruiting and signing of Rudy Gay.

I know it cold

Jim Calhoun played Gay's AAU coaches / program in an exhibition game and paid the Baycity Ballers (?) the same amount of money they would pay anyone to play an exhibition game. Before UConn signed the contract, they asked for and received permission from the NCAA. You see, that's how you do things right.

Gary Williams, who is still crying to this day, filed a complaint with the NCAA. They said we know what he did, he asked us if he could do it. Case dismissed.

However, as a result a Gary Williams crying, the NCAA changed their rules and no longer allows such games to be played. that's why you no longer see teams like Team Nike, Athletes in Action, Marathon Oil ........ playing exhibition games with a collection of former college / pro athletes. Instead you see Div II & III teams filling that void. Gary Williams ruined things for a lot of good people, and Jim Calhoun didn't break one single rule.

Now tell me what you know?

Yea Williams ruined things for these people. The teams who were willing to pay aau style teams for the most money would then be better able to get those players. It was the Beltway Ballers. If you think thats fair recruiting than thats your opinion but to me that is a shady way of going about getting players to go to your school. The NCAA changed the rule because they obviously realized what was wrong with it
