CHIPPEWA TWP. - A Chippewa Township couple is again facing charges for attempting to steal television sets from Walmart in Chippewa Township.
John G. Huber, 26, and Kayla Dusold, 27, both of 915 Darlington Road, Apartment 202, were charged March 8 for a Jan. 2 incident where Dusold took a television set and walked out of the store with it where Huber was waiting in a car, police said. Dusold was charged with retail theft, and Huber was charged with criminal conspiracy to commit theft, police said.
The second case stems from a March 4 incident. Police said Huber went into Walmart and tried to walk out with a television set. Dusold was waiting outside in a car, police said. A greeter asked to see a receipt for the television and a struggled ensued between Huber and the greeter, police said. The television set ended up on the ground, and a man leaving the store tripped over the television set and fell face-first into the sidewalk, police said.
Both Huber and Dusold were charged with defiant trespass and criminal conspiracy to commit theft. Police said the pair was banned from being on Walmart property after the Jan. 2 theft and a Jan. 7 incident where the couple also attempted to steal a television from the store on Jan. 7, police said.
In the most recent case, Huber was also charged with retail theft, simple assault, criminal mischief and possession of an instrument of crime.
