Japan Reactor Four Fire

The news I am seeing now is the reactor 4 has a massive fire in the upper structure and this reactor does not have a containment section. Please Lord help this people find a way to rectify this grave danger and avoid a potential catastrophe. Please Lord Please.

They may have by now but that whole deal of that thing without a containment dome has The China Syndrome wrttien all over it.

Things are getting worse. Not better.

Good news.

The fire followed an explosion Tuesday at the plant's No. 2 reactor and a fire in a storage pond used for spent nuclear fuel at the No. 4 reactor. Radiation levels at the plant increased to about 167 times the average dose during that fire, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

That dose quickly diminished with distance from the plant, and radiation fell back to levels where it posed no immediate public health threat, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said.

It keeps getting worse, not better. It's not under control and experts in this country have said expect reactors 5 and 6 to have major problems next. On the International Nuclear Events scale of 0-7 this is 6

Sounds like the workers are back after the radiation levels fell to doable levels again. Ya gotta wonder what caused em to shoot up like that though...

I know this is Monday Morning Quarterbacking but building six reactors together on the coast in an area called the Ring of Fire with multiple volcanoes? Uh, not real smart One reactor built there would not be a disaster but six? One thing watching TV. If I was an American reporter, I would get the hell out of Tokyo reporting right now. Not worth the risk.

They dont have shit under control.

I dont think theres even anything they can do at this point if they cant cool those fuel rods......and it seems like they are all slowly burning up leaking radiation out of them. I dont see how you avoid a meltdown at this point.
