Well that didn't last long. About 3 1/2 months. The company lost 1 very big contract and that was that. Last 2 guys in are first 2 guys out.

Its time I realy start to look for something on my own. I am thinking about just buying a established vending machine company. I just need to put it in my hands and go for it. I am tired of just being a worker.

Sorry to hear that. Shitty economic time to lose your job, hope you can defy the statistics.

take a chance RS. Starting your own business won't be easy, and you will struggle for a few years. But if you're hardworking and not stupid, you should be fine after 3 years, and do well for yourself after 5

a good knowledge of your chosen industry is important and stay away from a lot of overhead

Sorry to hear it, sounds like you just never had any momentum in the new job.

Consider getting into a trade and starting a service company . I am not sure of your situation, but I do very well as a plumber and I have two degrees that I am not using. You don't need huge contracts - you can do better working alone than with a lot of employees. Also the industry has a big shortage of young, competent workers - it will be even better than it is now for us young plumbers, electricians , and hvac techs when the old guys retire.

No money in vending. If you were going to do that, buy a route like Pepperidge Farm or similar and service grocery stores.
