I think I would like to take that "post back"...what I had been doing is taking a consensus...of pinny,matchbook,greek, and bookmaker....ie the( market) and looking for +ev in their closers
if I see them close around -120.(.no spread move)..thought I had + ev of appox 54%.......given the market is correct.....I see that it is more involved than this......modeling......which is beyond me at this point

Like most but..i have to take yankees over..
Added :chavez to the bench, Aroid and Tex looking healthier and outfield has another yr together under their belt and Soriano adds to a strong pen
New pitching coash seems stong and in the last decade only in girardi's first yr did they get under 92..that said i wouldn't mind losing that bet if they won 85 and missed the playoffs

I like the Yankee under play. Soriano is already hurt, the division has muscled up, and there are many key players who are old. Chavez is a nice pickup, but he is only insurance in case Tex or A-rod get injured. If he plays a lot, I would say that is a bad thing for them. The rotation is full of question marks and Granderson is injured, too. Andruw Jones may start opening day vs. Verlander and that makes a fourth middle-aged member of the lineup (Posada, Jeter, Rodriguez and Jones). First time in many years I don't look at them as a sure-fire playoff team.
