I was looking for AI odds ( tough to find) found this. I can't see replacing him since the role was written for him. I think the show just goes out on top, like Michael Jordan...er strike that !

I think Seinfeld would be good. Character to go away at -140 is crazy. 1.5 men ?

They're in talks to bring him back so I wouldn't take that bet.

Charlie Sheen, CBS In 'Two And A Half Men' Return Discussions: Report

Looks like "Two and a Half Men" may be whole again soon.

Without determining who represents what fraction, NBC's Jeff Rossen is reporting that, according to a source close to Sheen, two weeks after Sheen was fired from the show, the $2 million an episode man may get his job back on the biggest sitcom on television.

"Sources close to Charlie Sheen tell NBC News, CBS has offered him his job back. Discussions ongoing. Not a done deal," Rossen said via Twitter.
Of any reporter, Rossen would know; Sheen has praised the reporter who interviewed him for his multi-part NBC special report (part one and part two).
Hollywoodlife.com also reports that discussions are ongoing. A show insider told the site, "The rumors are true -- CBS wants Charlie back. They saw how popular his tour has become, how it has been selling out, and when word spread that he started talking to Fox about a late-night show, some decision-makers got a little antsy."

There's an 80% chance that Sheen returns, the source told the site.

If this is all true, it's a huge turnaround for the network and Sheen, who have been at war over the last month. Sheen ripped series creator Chuck Lorre in a series of radio and television interviews, and sued for $100 million following his firing and the show's decision to shut down for the rest of the season.
Story continues below

Since the firing, Sheen has found new sources of income: he's working to make $1 million a year in Twitter endorsements, and he's embarking on a North American live tour, for which he'll earn $7 million.

Why wouldn't they try to stay with Sheen, virtually impossible to find better publicity than he's created

If I had were casting and had to come up with a replacement, Artie Lange would be my first choice

Artie Lange hasn't been doing much since his suicide attempt but it would be funny to see him on a sitcom.

They should replace him with Rosie O'Donnell. Then they could still keep the Two and a half men title.

You can't replace Charlie on this show, not after 8-9 years when the most successful sitcoms usually end.

It would be like...

I love Lucy with a new Lucy

Honeymooners without Gleason

All in the Family with a new Archie

Stones w/o Mick

You might get away with changing a minor character....

a new Lionel Jefferson

Charlie could get a new maid just like a new G/F, no problem.

Now if you started with Seinfeld as Charlie....I think that would have worked....the carryover from Seinfeld would have been huge.

I guess Bewitched was a hit in its time and they changed the Darren actor, I think the 1st one had health issues, that worked, but I can't think of any other case where a new guy takes on the star role.

Holy crap I just thought of something genius.

Let's say they re-hire Charlie Sheen and the show continues. The first episode back you see John Stamos walking down to the kitchen after fucking some whore. The rest of the characters refer to him as if they were talking to the Charlie Sheen character. They tell him how "he looks different" and all that. Then the real Charlie Sheen comes out to a roaring audience and asks "Who the fuck are you?" then proceeds to kick him out of the house. Either that or it opens with that scene and then Charlie Sheen wakes up from a dream in a cold sweat and says, "Holy shit! I just had the strangest dream!"

The only one who could possibly replace him would be Emilio Estevez; it's either him, take Sheen back or cancel the show.
