Just got around to watching it - really good flick. Very impressive job by James Franco. They did a really good job portraying a state of being that few, if any, of us can imagine being in.

I read the book a few months ago, but still haven't seen the movie. The book was amazing and looking forward to seeing the movie.

Wifey and I almost rented it last night (went with The Fighter instead).
Watched the trailer and it looked really good. Will probably be our next movie.

That dude Franco always looks stoned.

I liked 127 Hours a little morei think - but, I honestly can't stand either James Franco or Mark Wahlberg. Franco impressed me in this one, but normally I agree with other posters that he comes off as the lazy, stoned type (which can be endeering, as long as its not your only persona). The Fighter was decent, but the plot is nothing special and Marky Mark can't act his way out of a brown paper bag... Bale was great though, as was the female supporting cast. Both flicks definitely worth seeing. Also saw Winter's Bone recently, and enjoyed that very much.

I agree with you that the plot was weak. I'm going to give 127 hours a shot this week.

Finally got to see this movie. Thought it was very good. It definitely helped that I knew nothing about the movie before seeing it because I did not expect him to do what he did at the end to survive.
