My two wagers tonight were Bulls -4 and Suns/Lakers over 200.5...if I had bet action points these two beat the line by a combined 104.5 points! #%()

Actually, I'm not sure, does OT count on action point totals? I've never wagered this way.

Pretty sure OT counts on action point totals. There's also a cap though I believe.

OT does count and the Normal Cap is 30 points

I use to play a ton of these...and made some good coin.

Just don't have the time to handicap that way anymore.... maybe next year

IT takes serious guts to play action points

30 is the normal cap?! thought it was 20. 30 is just crazy

If you're going to do it on a total ( and can still get it) you might as well take the max point cap allowed ( maybe 50 ?) and only bet overs. I could never bet under on AP's, favs are tough too, esp. stuff like a 10 point or larger fav, I'd much rather have the dog on AP's.

I used to be able to get 30 action points at Greek.

Damn, I didn't know action points even existed anymore. 5dimes and betjam doesn't offer them. At least I don't think they do.

I would think that Action Points would have to be made over the Phone, and Not on the internet.

That's how I have to play them.

just called 5 dimes and betjam...neither one offers them anymore. I'll have to try Bookmaker sometime. No big deal really, but I wouldn't mind betting that way from time to time. Haven't done so in a long time.

Been thinking about Action points or NBA Totals recently as well and wasnt sure if anyone offered them still so have been looking more at a couple of the UK Spread Betting companies, but it would be nice to have more options really.

Having said that, I was on the Under for that game last night so quite thankful that so far I have only been "thinking" about Action bets !

Yep, I think both CRIS (Bookmaker) and Greek will take them if you call. I'm sure there's a few more outs that will accept them as well.

Action points is a dangerous game.

We all win some wagers by a large margin, but lose our share of bets by the same large margin as well...

Well stated.

Without a doubt, it's the kind of bet you have to be EXTREMELY cautious about.

I would not want to make a habit out of it.
