Laettner hits the shot to beat Kentucky.

Do you know where you were when it happened?

I was in a car on the way to south padre island and heard the game on the radio!

Classic..

Maybe my memory is failing me but weren't they playing Uconn? I was in Vegas watching it with some of my family and had a bet on Uconn that went down the drain with that shot. And what made that shot possible was a Uconn player dribbling the ball off his foot and out of bounds with only a couple seconds left.

I was laying out the next day's section (still did that by hand back then) at the little shit newspaper where I was working. Had no TV in the building, just a beat up radio near my desk. I didn't get to see any clips of his shot until I got home at about 1am.

I was watching at a hotel bar where I was staying in Dana Point, CA. Never forget that shot.

I watched it in my bedroom I was a teen living at home.

I still can't get over how on the money the pass was (the baseball pass)
the guy inbounding the ball was actually a pretty decent baseball player.

I missed a kick ass party and stayed in my place alone to watch that, what a game!!! (i'm not a duke fan either) Well I went to the party late and tried to tell people about the game and about "the shot", I couldn't do it justice, everyone thought I was drunk.

Regarding a couple of posts above, it was against Kentucky and it was Grant Hill who made the pass. (my memory says)

I just looked it up. I was wrong, it was against Kentucky. Sorry. The part about losing my bet on it is true tho.
