Cincinnati Reds/Milwaukee Brewers Over 7.5 -125
Pitchers: Volquez/Gallardo

Volquez is having a horrible spring and looks nothing like he did when he came up as a fireballing prospect. Gallardo is pitching very well but has been hit hard by the Reds in the past. They are playing in Cincinnati's tiny stadium and neither squad has a bullpen that I really trust. This one should sail over.

Los Angeles Dodgers -105
Pitchers: Kershaw/Lincecum

The Giants couldn't hit Kershaw last season and the guy has been phenomenal in his spring starts. He'll have a great outing. Lincecum is no joke but I think Kershaw is pitching better and I'll gladly take the home team with what I believe to be the better offense at only -105 odds.

Los Angeles Angels -125
Pitchers: Weaver/Hochevar

This one feels like a square play but I'm going with it anyway. Weaver dominated the Royals last year and I just don't see Kansas City's offense making that large of a jump this season. The Royals will struggle to score any runs against Weaver and Hochevar is not throwing well right now. He got lit up pretty well by the Angels last season and this one just seems far too low of a line.

New York Mets +168
Pitchers: Pelfrey/Johnson

Mike Pelfrey is struggling a bit in the spring but Josh Johnson's velocity is down and he's not at 100%. Neither offense is a huge run producer and I like the value here.

White Sox/Indians Under 8.5 -120
Pitchers: Buehrle/Carmona

Buehrle has had a nice spring and Cleveland's offense is extremely weak this season. Carmona is fresh off a dominating spring performance and the White Sox couldn't hit him last season. Playing an under in a Carmona game is always a little scary because he has random horrible games, but I think both teams struggle to score here.

Toronto Blue Jays -120
Pitchers: Pavano/Romero

Romero has struggled in spring but much of his issues were due to a strained finger that is supposed to be healed now. He pitched well against the Twins last season and I think Minnesota is going to struggle to score runs this year. Pavano had a nice spring but he's struggled to get outs in Toronto historically. The Blue Jays have a superior offense and should be able to get the home win at a low price.

Oakland Athletics +110
Pitchers: Cahill/Felix

The Mariners don't have anyone that can hit the ball outside of Ichiro and I just don't see them scoring runs against a pitcher as good as Cahill. Hernandez is a stud too but his spring makes me think he's still not going at full strength. Look for the A's to win a low-scoring game. I didn't want to play the under 7 at -125 because I want to see Felix pitch a couple times to see where he is at before I lay that juice.

Good luck but there will definitely be regression with Cahill this year. He's not THAT good. That said, nothing like playing the M's to start the season!

like this one for sure... going to chase LAA to win a game in KC. Should we expect similar lines in games 2 and 3 you think?

Game 2 line is up. Haren-Francis. When I looked yesterday Haren was -150 I think

Doubtful. That sucker is already nearly -150. I have no idea why it opened so low but I wouldn't expect a similar break now that the Angels got hammered.

Random note... I just realized that I also handicapped the 4/1 card and added them here. Not all of these plays are for the 31st. Whoops.

The Dodgers RL sticks out to me. Dodgers -1.5 +195. Kershaw will win this one.

Good luck on it. Going RL against Lincecum is always ballsy, but I won't complain if the Dodgers win 20-0.
