This guy Mr. A on SportsRumble.com appears to be a horrible baseball handicapper, from following him from afar for the last few years. He plays a lot of chalk and from what I've seen barely manages 50% if that. You can realize what profits there are fading and taking dogs.

His picks are free and he posts nice and early. I don't cap baseball (only football/basketball) so I'm going to keep this thread alive for as long as it's somewhat profitable by posting and fading this guy's picks.

He doesn't have any records on his site, probably because he's been so bad in the past.

Let's see how he does starting tomorrow. I'm not playing big money on the fade so I advise everyone that is willing to tread lightly.

She was awful, then she was amazing, then she was mediocre and has been losing the last few days. When she won like every day I gave up fading and every day tracking her. I had a friend that said he's been following her consistently and she's about 50% on the season. I feel like she's worse than a 50% handicapper and she very may well regress, especially during playoff time.

This Mr. A guy is actually worse than her in all sports.

^^By the way don't remotely buy the record she has on her website. She is a pathological liar and completely butchers her record to make her look good. if her team wins and doesn't cover she counts it as a win in both the straight up and ATS column.

Mr A is betting the Cardinals and Giants.

I am on the Padres and Dodgers.

I am playing this very small at the beginning since I don't know how he will do.

Mr A's Record: 0-0

I am wagering $20 to win $17 on the Dodgers.
I am wagering $20 to win $33 on the Padres.

I'll play along with this fade by packaging the picks into small 2teamers

For Mar 31, it seems reasonable that value would be to fade the defending world champs and the longtime fan fave Cardinals

SD +165 and LAD -110 $8 pays $32.47

This guy is such a douche with how he caps. He's going to consistently lay the -280 or -260 throughout the season so get ready.

I don't see how we can possibly win one of these two games, but then again I'm not really a baseball handicapper (yet). Like I said I'm playing these small by betting $20 a game but regardless it's an extremely nice return on investment if we nail one of these.

I guess Houston and the Orioles it is.

I'm going to track Mr. A from betting $100 a game to make it easy on myself. He had Cardinals -190 and Giants -105.

Mr A's Record (to win $100 a game), 0-2, -$295

Faders (betting $20 a game), 2-0, +$53

The profits are going to be off if you aren't betting the same on both, you should put down 100 a game on faders even though personally you are betting 20.

Ok that works.

Mr A's Record (to win $100 a game), 0-2, -$295

Faders (betting $100 a game), 2-0, +$267

Already on BAL +180 for $6 (using my smaller scale wager size)

PASSING the Astros

A guy who persistently plays -200 and above faves will of course win plenty of games, so he could very well get PHI today.

What's clear is that such selections are unlikely to win 70-75% of the time, thus it's a Fail strategy overall

thanks for the post today

I feel like a total slave here and just tossing $40 away but let's do this. Maybe one of the two pulls a miracle.

I agree with you, barman, this guy's approach after only 2 days and 4 games is just terrible. This is how he handicaps though, I've followed him from afar for years now. We have to get used to this because it's going to be big favorites all the time.

Soooo close to a really nice payout with the Astros. Thanks Brandon Lyon. Mr. A survives game 1.

FGators, do you know (or where we can find) Mr A's record? as won/lost (like 92-70) and total units won/lost (like -3209$).

He like chalk plays but he may have long winning streaks too?
