I am the king of buyers remorse. I cant tell you how many times I have bought something that I thought I wanted/needed and then three days later I ask myself why the hell did I buy that.

Bought an Ipad that I thought I wanted till I bought it. I have used it less then 12hrs total, and for some ungodly reason I catch myself thinking about buying an IPAD2 even though I dont even use IPAD1. How pathetic.

Bought a playstation3 that I have only played 2 or 3 hrs. .Dont know what made me want to buy that. I knew before buying the thing I was out of the video game stage of my life.

I have 4 magazine subscription that I have not read a single issue, I just throw them away as soon as I take it out of the mailbox.(except for the SI swimsuit issue).

But I finally bought something a few months ago that has for once exceeded my expectations.

Its an Amazon Kindle Ebook reader. I waited this long to buy one because I thought to myself I was not a huge reader. But since buying this thing I have read about 15 books in the last month. Thats a new world record for me.

I never knew how much I enjoyed reading till I bought this thing. I can have instant access to almost unlimited books of any subject with the touch of a button.

Reading from this kindle is much more comfortable then holding an awkward book. I love it. This was my best purchase in years.

CT, the Kindle (and other electronic readers) are pretty much the greatest invention of the past couple years.

One other thing that has exceeded my expectations.

About 4 years ago I bought a Garman GPS for my truck. Did not think I would need it or enjoy it that much. I always thought I was pretty good with directions.

Well I love that also, and will never not have one again.

We will bump this thread in about 15 months, so you can create a new Reply with mention of your Nevada marriage license purchased in June 2011

Fry's was advertising it as a "brand name" 40" TV in their weekly ad with no other identifiers. This is a routine they do which draws people into the store to see which brand name it might be, etc.. Usually it's a shit brand Tv like "Coby" or a low end crappy model of whoever. I was in the market for my first flat screen replacing our old tube TV (yea - it's taken me awhile) and I was doing my usual over evaluation and research - spec comparisions, online reviews, etc... So anyway, I have a FRY's 5 minutes from work and decide to ride over at lunch to see what brands might be on sale. Lo and f-ing behold... the 40" is a Sony-KDL40EX500 - 40" LCD Bravia - regular price $829 and on sale for $519. I made it home after work and did some some quick research looking for any possible pitfalls or bewares. Cut my usual research short after not finding any negatives and went out and bought the Bravia. I knew I had a deal pricewise, but I didn't really didn't have time to research that model enough to know there was a reason it was on sale at what appeared to be cost to FRYs. From day one, this TV is fan-fcking-tastic. Unbelievable picture. 1080p, 120mhz - just beautiful picture and the stylish chasis that really looks nice in our living room rather than the glossy black finish so popular with most flat screens. I knew I had a deal, but I have been more than satisfied with the TV. Amazing !

My Squeezebox Internet radio. I've had it for more than two years now and I'm still discovering new things I like.
