be careful what you hope for..its so much effort to even get this far but eventually there are limits even with college kids and college football playoffs might be worse...

just something to ponder..sometimes what we hope for as being optimal is far from it when it plays out. Was that a horrible game to watch and consider as the National Championship..wow..Really Fun tourny until then however!

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. College Football needs a playoff system. The polls suck and are no way to crown a champion. The game sucked last night. That is the way it goes and this year was an anomaly.

Did the same game (Duke-Butler) suck last year ?

If this is what we get, why didn't we get it last year?

As for the BCS, until you can justify how TCU got fuckt, don't compare it to A SINGLE BASKETBALL game.

I guess your recent memory does not include the Ohio St-SEC games or Oklahoma's pathetic performance against USC !

Team sports in the USA are nice for wagering, vendors, tailgaters, and keeping the athletes fit.....after that, not much else.

The BIG FRAUD makes this quite apparrent.

So the current system is better than a potential playoff system? A system where you can go undefeated (even in a BCS conference) and be denied the chance to play for a national title?

Yes, this NC game was shit and I don't think any intelligent sports fan would make the claim these were the two best teams in the nation, the NCAAFB system still is pure shit.

That sport doesn't even have a legit champion.

Yes it is. The BCS gets the 2 best teams playing for a championship every year. The tourney is a joke. VCU wasn't even supposed to be in and they went to Final Four. That's hilarious!

Yes, you are right, they got it right when Florida State played Tennessee? Right.

Are you kidding me? I guess it was fair that Auburn got left out and OU was allowed to get pasted by 36?

College Footballs postseason is a joke ! One of your so called signature marquee exhibition games was Uconn-Oklahoma. What and how did that game benefit anyone ? Someone explain to me what was the importance of that game ? Watching Butler or VCU earn their way into the final four is alot more exciting to me then watching games selected by fat cats to suit their own interest. The games don't mean anything except for Fishhead telling us that its a great experience for the student athlete.

You can't compare basketball to football. Football is a strength sport. There are only so many teams that are strong and skillful enough to withstand a 3 or 4 game playoff to win the national championship. It would be a much more clearcut outcome in college football than it is college basketball. And when all is said and done, because of team depth, the winner would probably always come out of a BCS conference if the NCAA had a playoff.. Basketball is a much different animal. I rememeber even the experts were saying when VCU played Kansas that the differences in talent between the teams wasn't there after you take away a player or two from Kansas. There is much more parity in college basketball. And it's always been about who is the hottest team at the end of the season. Baseball and other sports that rely on skill more than strength are the same way. There are many more peaks and valleys in these kinds of sports. And imo a little more luck is invloved in sports like basketball and having to get a ball through a tiny hoop 10 feet off the ground. So in most years your going to get some unexpected teams in the final four. Don't knock the system just because you eliminated those teams in the first game of your bracket.

Don't compare a single game.

Compare the systems.

One gives you the Weed Eater Bowl that doesn't mean jackshit, the other gives you a tournament where EVERY game means something.
