Enjoyed watching "The Godfathers Of Golf", Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player stride around Augusta National this afternoon in the Wednesday Par Three Contest. The elderly gentleman provided us with some good natured ribbing of each other showing no matter what age they may be, the competitive trait they all possess which enabled them all to be champions, is still alive and well. I actually got to see this trio of men play a pratice round one time at Augusta and although I have seen many greats of the game there including Greg Norman, Nick Faldo, Phil Mickelson and of course Tiger Woods, my fondest memory may well be seeing and following these ambassadors of the game during my visit to Augusta National. Now trying to contend with Father Time, Nicklaus, Palmer and Player will see and eagerly approve of a new generation of players who will move into their place to carry the torch of honor and greatness so well and distinguishly carried until now by their elders.
