Rain is in the forecast once again. Both pitchers stat wise almost mirror each other vs current lineups. Im feeling the under in this one 5-3 type game. Game could go either way. If AJ can get around Mauer, Kubel and Morneau he should be in good shape. Liriano thou getting rocked last start, has shut down stuff if he's on. Arod and TEX awful numbers career wise vs Liri.

4-2 ytd leans BOL guys

The A's and Red Sox seem to be a good fade right now. On 4/7, A's vs J's...pretty good matchup, as far as young starting pitchers goes (Cahill vs Romero). The A's starting pitchers aren't losing the games (1-4), the A's story so far:::--->not enough offense or bullpen and the most errors in their history for the 1st 5 games. Meanwhile the slugging Jays are putting across runs;I think I'll take the Blue Jays this thursday, even without Bautista. GL.

kidding me? arod has awful numbers against liriano? he has 9 at bats against him...add 2 more hits in there and hes hitting .300..also he has an almost .400 OBP against him, 4 rbi and 4 walks, a sample size under 15 for batter v pitcher is a moot point, 9 at bats? and those stats have to be just last years stats because arod has faced liriano much more than 9 times... goodluck caddy

Hey Gyno keep up the good capping. It's a long season, I don't have to remind you.
Gonna spend the next day and a half brushing up on my Padres so we can snag a couple winners this weekend.
Keep up the good work everybody.

METFAAN HERE..

YEST 0-1 -$50 YTD 8-4 +$345

METS
Thole had his chance but the phils brought in Bastardo and it was 3 strikes and your out

Was lucky to even be in a tie position. Pelfrey was puke

today have to grab Halladay first 5 minus the 1/2 run -130. But be careful Niese has put up good numbers vs the phils. His curve has neutralized the lefties

YANKS
Yesterday had the twins and Pavano .yanks had planned to rest Jeter, Posada and Martin..Anyone have todays lineup or a site i can get access?
The game is off at my book now..not sure why..if it's burnett vs Liriano , I will look to play the over first 5..it looks rainy and a delay may get us to the bullpens even earlier.
I can't imagine either starter giving up less than 2 runs each vs lineups that would figure to be full strenght after yesterdays rainout

$100:
halladays -.5 -130 first 5

$200:
yanks/minny o 5(?) first 5

if more than 5 ...lower the bet to $100

GOOD LUCK GUYS AND THANKS FOR THIS THREAD GYNO:toast:

I REALLY LIKE THE PIRATES AS A HOME TEAM..USUALLY GET GOOD VALUE

But does it scare you that they are finally playing a good offense and Tulowitzki and Gonzalez are heating up and facing a lefty? I'm grabbing Tulo vs his Pitt counterpart when the prop head to heads are announced later..

i really like the pirates to finish over .500 at home before the trading deadline and then see what happens if they do their annual breakup at the trading deadline..
what is your opinion on that..

also my "BUCKET LIST" has going to a bucs game .I heard the stadium is very nice and there is a Casino nearby. How is the casino and is it worth the trip from NYC?
I don't went to see the Mets there ..i prefer to go and root for the home team.

your opinion would be welcome..i have a friend that roots for them every yr and we always bust them around trading deadline..your feedback would be greatly appreciated..thanks in advance:toast:

Hey MetFan, The Rivers is about a mile away from the ballpark, it depends on what you play and when you go. If you like the tables I hope you go to a game during the week. I went on a Thursday last yr after the Pirates day game, went to the Rivers and then went to the Pitt vs the U game. It was alot of fun, but if your expecting AC amt of tables you will be disappointed, but it is something else to do after going to a game at the beautiful PNC Park

Hey MetFan
Yes, PNC is an awesome park. The casino is a bit small, and in a really non scenic area. It's just a casino. Pittsburgh would definetly make for a nice weekend trip. The city at night from the lookouts on Mt Washington has one Hell of a view. The South Side, Carson St, is bar after bar with lots of action. The people of Pittsburgh ( excluding Steelers fans during football season ) are some of the friendliest in the country. As far as the breakup, well, they do it every year. Can't see this being any different.

It's hard to go against Halladay but it's ridiculous to lay the juice also. The Mets offense is rolling right now, as is the Phillies, but I really like the price on Niese today. He should be as successful as Chris Young was with more breaking balls than relying on a heater. Sure, with Halladay, one always expects a win but he'll lose some games today. Afternoon game, a decent enough offense, a small bit on Niese might not be bad.

gyno ...........you asked to post sherwoods post on the Js........from his site

TORONTO –1 +120 over Oakland Pinnacle

12:30 PM EST. Don’t be fooled by Trevor Cahill’s excellent results last year that on paper showed an 18-8 record with a 2.97 ERA. A 24% hit rate and 77% strand rate made his ERA much lower than it should have been and his surface stats this season will regress big time. Even in his first start of the year it took 105 pitches for Cahill to labor through just 4.2 innings against the Mariners on Friday night. He was in trouble the whole game and his strand rate in that game was 88%. The A’s lost the opener yesterday and they did little against the Jays a season ago, being outscored by 24 runs with a .240 BA/.328 slugging percentage in seven games. In three career starts against the A’s, Ricky Romero is 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA. Romero has dominated in the first half in both his season’s in the majors. Last year he posted a 2.83 ERA with a 1.23 in 1H and the season prior his numbers were similar. In his opener this year he pitched into the seventh inning against the Twins and allowed one run. Romero has elite skills with a groundball/flyball ratio of 55%/27% and it’s no fluke. This year the reports are he’s better conditioned to extend his dominance into the second half and chances are great he’ll continue that dominance against the A’s. Play: Toronto –1 +120 (Risking 2 units).
