Colorado Rockies (+100) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Getting a great price on a stacked Rockies team against the Pirates here today thanks to the Pirates hot start and the fact that today is their home opener. Diving deeper we see that Paul Maholm is 1-7 in his career against the Rox and sported an ERA over 5 at home last year (and during day games). He's opposed by Esmil Rogers making his season debut and anxious to deliver a good outing to keep that 5th spot in the rotation. There will be extra motivation from both managers having each coached the other team and when push comes to shove I simply think the better team wins.
Chicago White Sox (-120) vs. Tampa Rays
Bet $120 to win $100
Anytime a top 20 pitcher enters a game as an underdog you need to proceed with extreme caution. Though David Price is phenomenal he is actually 0-3 against the ChiSox in his career. On the other side we have Edwin Jackson -- a former Rays pitcher. Since he left he's been lights out against the Rays sporting a 1.59 ERA in 17 innings. Rays start the season 0-6...
Note:
I expect a lot of cappers to be on the Jays today. The numbers certainly support that bet and I considered making that a play. Ultimately, I am staying away as Cahill is such a strong home pitcher.
