All of this happening over there has me really bummed out and sad for them.
I have always had a love for pop culture, sports, Etc from Japan since I was
like a little kid up to this very day:
Pro Wrestling: All Japan, New Japan, FMW. Used to subscribe to two weekly
pro wrestling magazines from over there (Weekly Gong and Weekly Pro). The
photography was just amazing. Inoki, Baba, Misawa, Choshu, Tenryu, Maeda,
Muto, Onita, Hayabusa, etc, etc, etc.........
Movies: Where do I even start.............all the Gojira movies, anything directed
by Kurosawa, the Yakuza Tales movies of the 70's (all the Battles Without Honor series),
the Pinky Violence movies (Lady Snowblood, Zero Woman, Etc). And the
stuff of the last decade like Battle Royale, Ichi The Killer, Karaoke Terror, Machine
Girl, Tokyo Gore Police, Etc.
In music some really cool imports that U.S. artists release over there exclusively.
I used to follow the Baseball over (but not as much the last couple of years).
Worked and Shoot MMA: Rings, Pancrase, UWF, Pride, etc, etc.
I could go on and on.
