I won 10 dollars on my very first scratcher on my 18th birthday. Should have stopped while I was ahead. Haven't played one in a while, they don't have lottery tickets in Nevada.

About 20 bucks or so. Normally get 10 dollars worth of scratch off and 10 dollars in lottery tickets 5-6 times a year.

what really pissed me off about them, was sometimes i'd buy 5 20 dollar tickets (mostly Jumbo Bucks), and i'd never win more than a free ticket.....and the free ticket was always a loser

$300.

When I was 8 years old my nanny was bringing me my clothes and shoes for a baseball game I had that night. She stopped on the way and bought me some candy and a scratch off. I won $300 bucks on it and gave her $150.

Scratch off tickets are one of the dumbest "bets" out there...

An example from Nevada:

Scratch-Off Tickets
In instant scratch-off games, the state takes about 50% of the action. 34% going to public education and the rest covering administrative and promotional costs. The remaining 50% is returned in prizes. Since the state keeps 50 cents of every dollar bet, the house edge is 50%, making the scratch-off game worse than any game in Nevada.

I won the top prize on a dollar ticket about 10 years ago it was a game you had to tick tac toe 9's. The top prize was 9,999, the government took about 3,500 when I cashed the ticket at the lottery office.

500 a couple times

whole purpose of a lottery is to give the state money to make it a better place to live. every dollar you put in they keep about half.

Which is a wonder why Louisiana is such a shitty state since they had the lottery for a while now.
