There was nothing "winning" about Charlie Sheen's one-man show in New York Friday night.

The hard-partying actor took to the stage of Radio City Music Hall as part of his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour to deliver an hour-long profanity-laden ramble that was vaguely coherent at best and sordid and self-indulgent at worst.

Sheen, 45, sauntered onto the stage 35 minutes late to a standing ovation from a raucous and optimistic crowd that cheered and shouted, "I love you, Charlie."

Barely an hour later, the same audience filtered out of the famed Sixth Ave. venue baffled by the actor's performance and questioning why they had parted with their hard-earned cash.

"He's a little off his rocker," said Barbara Ann Preziosi, 50, who paid $109 for her orchestra seat.

"I wish he would go back to 'Two and a Half Men,' and I think he plays Charlie Harper really well but, in real life he's a disappointment."

"The show sucked," said Mike Brancaccio, 26, from Rockaway, N.J., who paid more than $100 for his ticket.

"I'm just glad it's over so I can get a drink that isn't crazily overpriced."

Outside, the disappointed crowd did nothing but slam the West Coast wild man who has been making headlines for months with a deluge of wild sex- and drug-filled partying and endless tweeting about his debauched antics.

His outrageous behavior got him axed from his hugely popular sitcom and sparked his 20-city tour.

It started with him being nearly booed off stage in Detroit last Saturday, and then whipping the Cleveland audience into a frenzy of vile chants about ex-wife Denise Richards.

Sheen's New York City show - the first of two, the next one is Sunday - began with his version of the infamous room-wrecking incident at The Plaza last year.

"The trouble all started when she followed me up to my room," he said, referring to Capri Anderson, the porn star he was partying with that night. "Maybe I invited her but, whatever, it's my f---ing story.

"Next thing I know I'm naked, taking Ambien and attacking the cops."

Sheen admitted to throwing a chair and tearing a curtain after Anderson locked herself in the bathroom with his wallet and expensive watch.

"I think she owes me my watch and $30 grand worth of entertainment," he added.

Outfitted in a Yankees cap and jersey and sitting on an armchair wearing sunglasses and smoking, a producer attempted to guide his banter with questions.

"I love my children," he said, in one of the few moments he spoke without profanity - and about something other than cocaine and hookers.

"Yes, I do, more than I have words to express," he added. "I love my dog Steve, I love my job. Clearly I love everything that was taken from me."

The crowd was a heavily boozed-up mix of young and old, New York's chic mingling with Sheen fans and those purely there out of fascination.

As the hour went on, the audience got more impatient, booing and also breaking into fights.

One topless man even attempted to rush the stage.

"Real Housewives of New York" cast member Kelly Bensimon grabbed a seat a few rows from the front but left as confused as the rest of the crowd.

"I was confused," she said. "I kind of feel unsettled."

sounds like the real show was in the stands. He got people to boo him? Who does he think he is Andy Kaufman?

I have never seen an episode of this Real Housewives thing but I get the impression they all want to be crazy for their 15 minutes of fame.

Charlie sounds like the winner as he got a bunch of people to blow over $100 a ticket to listen to him ramble about nothing for over an hour.
