you owed a family member, 70K, but you have paid him over $130K for a business that was worth just under $90K on paper. it was a ugly transitioin. you owed him 29 months of $2540 per month.....

before we get to ugly, what would you do? i know pay him, but we can work a more amlicale payment, right? i mean, the dude that bought it took it in the rear, but so is life

speaking as someone who has been screwed out of 50k by a long time friend - by pure fraud ...... I would say if this is bothering you - go and speak to them today - try to negotiate it - and get it written on paper and signed (the new terms).

otherwise your obligated to pay under the original transaction.... personally don't know whether they would negotiate or not because at the time - both parties thought the deal was fair.
