Monday - Why is Detroit picked to win over Texas?

Hey & GL to All,

I am new to baseball following and was wondering why Detroit is picked to win over Texas.

Texas seems like a much better team and Detroit seems pretty bad.

Verlander is pretty dominant at home historically plus Detroit is the Home team, line seems about right

I was thinking the same thing, seems like Texas is the right pick but seems to easy, hopefully someone can share some light on this game.
