Early plays for Tuesday.
Rangers: 1.3 units to win 1. This team is playing great ball right now. Penny has started off slow and has had trouble with a few of these Rangers. Mags will be out of an already slow starting Tigers offense. And they're facing a very tough young lefty in C.J. Wilson.
Rockies: 1.02 units to win 1. Colorado is another team playing very good baseball. Rogers is a much better pitcher than his limited 2010 stats demonstrate. Against this inconsistent Mets team, I'll gladly back them at almost even money.
Blue Jays: 1.1 unit to win 1. I think both of these two young starters have very good careers ahead of them, but Romero is a lot further along. I can't see this Seattle offense putting much together tomorrow night.
Leaning toward the Brewers, Orioles, Dodgers and/or under 8, White Sox/A's.

I've been hoping for a break to go my way to help me get back on track. Unfortunately, last night simply offered more bad luck. First, Matt Thornton and Juan Pierre both chipped in to throw Mark Buehrle's gem of a start out the window, all while the entire White Sox offense finally fell silent. In the later games, Toronto's bullpen somehow managed to throw away a 7-0 lead in the last three frames. But I'm confident that the games that hinge on luck will eventually even themselves out. I just have to convince myself that it'll come sooner than later.
4-3 for +1.11 units on the day yesterday. It's a small step in the right direction. Still watching today's lines to see if, and how much, they move.
