2-2 yesterday netting -2.4 units getting basically juiced. Got completely shafted on that dropped fly ball bal Juan Pierre in the top of the 9th as if he caught that ball the game ends with the next batter. Not to mention Alberto Gonzalez being called out sliding into 3rd base on that fielders choice play in the Padre game. He was clearly safe and should have had men on the corners with 0 outs. Definetly some frustration with those 2 situations from yesterday. Looking into todays card right now...
1st play is:
TEXAS ML -132 for 4 units... Not sure how many more starts Leyland is going to continue to allow Penny to have. I have already seen enough from him that I need to see. Penny just looks like the product of someone who is having trouble regaining his pre 2008 form as since the 2008 season he has 323.2 innings of work allowing 180 earned runs for an average of 5.01era. It doesnt seem that he will be bettering those numbers as he has allowed 12 runs already this season in just 2 starts with 9.2 innings pitched. In 41 career starts CJ Wilsons has never faced the Tigers. He has however made 6 relief appearances from 2006-2009 when he was a reliever for 4 years. In those relief appearances he has posted a 5hits 5k's 2bb's in just 4.2 innings of work. So this is a new arm for the Tigers to see. I like my chances laying the juice here against a team like teh Tigers that seem to have many holes that need some filling...

His statline reads 22.2 innings pitched allowing 21 hits 15 earned runs and walking 12 batters for a 6.08era in those 4 games. Not quite the formula that have good odds of getting the job done against a Brewer team that has been clicking in their last 6 games going 5-1 putting up 26 runs in those games...

Red Sox are hitting .232 on the season vs leftties and the Rays are hitting .250 this season against lefties, and lefties dont come much tougher than these 2 arms these days...

Florida @ Atlanta under 8 for 4 units... Tommy Hanson seems to have worked through his strained back. At least thats what I noticed in his last start as it didnt seem to bother him as much as it did in his first start. When I combined that with the facts that the Braves bats are batting just .229 on the season (23rd) that leads me to believe a pitcher of Volstatds caliber has the tools to silence them as well. Give me the under in this one with 2 solid pitchers...
