I have an IPHONE, and even I think thats about the most corny slogan I have ever heard.

Apple is normally good at marketing, so this is unlike them.
They should really just drop this.

It almost sounds like someone in the marketing department was trying to come up with a new catch phrase.

He got as far as saying "If you dont have an Iphone", when he tried to come up with something to go along with that, got writers cramp and just repeated it again.

Shelve it please.

I mean, that would be like an Aids clinic saying if you dont have Aids, you dont have Aids.
LOL.

Or an online casino saying if you dont have a RF, you dont have 46K.

It's corny, but it's probably effective for them. I don't think I'd ever question Apple's marketing decisions. The best marketed company, probably in the history of business, ever.

I think the goal is that it feeds into the idea that hey, all your friends and family, all the cool trendy ones, they all have iphones, don't you wanna be like them too? You don't want to be left out, do you? Don't you know there's no substitute? If you don't have one, you don't have one, and you gotta have one to be cool like everyone else.

Believe me, it's not because the marketing dept. couldn't come up with another line.

Yes, they are great marketers, I just dont like that slogan.
Brilliant company that is able to take products marketed poorly by other companies and make a fortune.
And best yet they get credit for being the inventors of these products that they did not invent.

Apple did not invent the MP3 player, but the IPOD got made MP3 players mainstream.
Apple did not invent the SmartPhone, but the IPHONE made the smartphone mainstream.
Apple did not invent the tablet computer, but the IPAD made the tablet mainstream.

A lot of people think APPLE invented these products. NOPE. Its just that they know how to market things better then others.

Marketing is the most important factor in the success or failure of a business.

You can have great product and go out of business.
You can have crap product and make billions.
Its all about marketing

I actually think it is a very effective slogan.

It cuts without being insulting and be rude. I think it is a great slogan.

I got a HTC Thunderbolt 2 weeks ago because it is better then the current IPhone, even though I'm biased towards Apple.
