This guy qualified online for the wildcard on that German team and in that format, if he got eliminated, his whole team was gone...I think I read only, that he just freaked and wanted to make sure, that they were ok with him going all-in....with that being said, still a completely stupid move by him since obviously they want their chips in the middle with aces vs whatever preflop and he cost them their only timeout, in which the whole team was allowed to gather and make a decision together on how to play the hand in question...
I wouldn't pull a dick move like this, but if it was against Hellmuth I'd do it in a heart beat. Hellmuth's the biggest dick there is and watching him have a melt down would be fun.
