Sometimes I find myself looking back and find it hard to believe how fast the time has passed in my life and remember a simpler time when things seem to move more slowly. Just wondered if others often look back as well and what are your thoughts.

no, my life sucks.....they say that life is short, but to me it's long......real looooooong

figure i should be a SOLID 50 to 60% home at this point......20 to 30 more years to go -- you can do it sooner!

I turned 50 this past February and I have been thinking about this a lot. My parents are both 86 and I take care of them pretty much everyday. I don't know what I'll do when they are gone because I am very close to them and even more so the last year or so.

Everyday

Now I'm really depressed.

Right on!!!!!!!!!!

True love, true friendship, respect, & care seem to have all vanished. Being 35, I have learned so much from the older generation and it just makes me sick how society is today. Wish I could turn back the hands of time. After all the ones I know, my mother and my cousin are the ONLY two that I can count on. Sadly, all my friends could always count on me, but I never could them

Most Depressing Thread EVER???

Yes - I absolutely hate thinking about it.

I've got three kids and just cannot believe it when I look at how they're aging.

Just incredibly depressing.

I realized I was getting old when NFL coaches started getting hired younger than me. WTF? In my day coaches are suppose to be the old gray haired guys with wisdom and shit. Now you get these young gunslingers who are around if not younger in age than some of the players.

Yup.

About to hit 40.

Amazing.

I am glad I grew up before technology became so prevalent in society.

A different era.

Same here. I was wondering if you are going to go in for the finger up the butt thing with your doctor when you hit 40. I've always heard that's the age when you need to have it done. Not looking forward to it.

I turned 60 3 weeks ago.....I just look back on my life and just smile....

Have screwed up many times over, but the good things outnumber the bad times....

I think about my deceased parents almost everyday of my life, thanking them for their guidance...

I do the same about my Dad. Still have my Mom and am cherishing her while I have her.

My Mom tells me all the time "You are young for so little, but old for so long."

The way I have been told to look at doing all that stuff (finger in the butt, colonoscopy tube up the butt) is the pain someone will have to go through doing those things pales in comparison if there cancer up there.

I have had the finger up the butt (by my doctor) and it really is not painful. Just discomfort.

I hope everyone is enjoying their day!
