Rangers - Yankees

Texas has to be a little road-weary considering they are on their 7th road game in 7 days with yesterday as a travel day. Meanwhile, NY has been at home the past couple of days so no rigors of travel.

Harrison has looked good so far with a 2-0 record and a 1.29 ERA. However, the two teams he has faced was a struggling Red Sox offense and an inconsistent Orioles offense. I hope he continues to do well, but he has a big test in front of him tonight. The Yankees have their hitter-friendly ballpark and the ability to get to him, which I expect to be very possible tonight.

Nova's ERA doesn't exactly look impressive sitting a little above 6. However, he hasn't really been terrible. His first game against Minnesota was a quality start giving up 3 runs in 6 innings pitched. His last game against Boston he gave up 4 runs in a little over 4 innings pitched - not good, but he got the run support needed to avoid a loss. As you all know, Hamilton is out so that takes away Texas' most consistent hitter and big piece of the lineup. Makes for one less batter for Nova to have to pitch around.

By numbers alone, Harrison looks to be far better than Nova so far into the season. Also, Texas has the hot start and better record at 9-3. However, the line has been set to favor the Yankees. One would expect this to be closed to a pick or maybe even have Texas favored by a little. For the reasons stated above, I think Vegas knows what they are doing.

I'm going with the Yankees tonight

Apr 15 967 TEX RANGERS [M. HARRISON -L] +118 o9½-115 +1½-170
7:10 PM 968 NY YANKEES [I. NOVA -R] -128 u9½-105 -1½+150

Over hit again last night thanks to Posada. Tonight's game features a much improved Harrison against Ivan Nova. Yanks were shut down for a good part last night by Arrieta. If it wasn't for A-Rod and Cano, this team would be in some trouble right now. Gardner, Jeter, Grandy, Swish,Tex are not hitting their stride at the dish yet. Gardner is absolutely killing the Yanks at lead off right now. Joba looked lights out last night. Phil hughes still is lacking velocity and may be going thru a dead arm stage right now. Hamilton out will hurt, but Texas has faired well vs the Yanks. Im rolling with 1H under 5.5. Nova will get into his usual trouble inning 5 or 6. Both pitchers should fair well thru the first 5 innings.

8-3 ytd Yankee leans . BOL everyone.

Things seemed a little odd yesterday..with some better base rnning or clutch hitting we could have had a better day..Especially after Phil Hughes blew up as expected

yest 5-4 +118

ytd 28-22 +460

METS/BRAVES

The mets are a disaster..some timely hitting but the pitching is crap.Except for chris young, the starters can't get out of the 5th inning ..the pen is overworked and horrible..Today young is out with forearm tendonitis..Replacing him is reliever DJ CURASCO..why they didn't bring up someone from Tripe A Buffalo is a puzzle..Curasco faces Derek Lowe..I'd be surprised if he lasts 3 innings Unless i am crazy this seems like easy money

THE PLAYS:
$100:

ATLANTA TT O ..LINE PENDING
ATL/NYM O 4-120..What am i missing .i have the Mets giving up 4-5 themselves
ATL -.5 FIRST 5 -130
ATL RL -1.5 +115 Game

i'd take over for the Game but these 2 have a history of unders

YANKS/TEX:
Don't think for one minute that revenge isn't on the yankees minds. Texas made the Series at ny's expense. Nova is ok but not super impressive. Harrison is ok too..Really can't see either giving up less than 2 and one figures to implode..

THE PLAYS:
$100:
NYY -138
NY/TEX O 5 -125 FIRST 5

$50 :
FIRST INNING RUN ..YES

Hey guys, I like the Phils tonight on the RL at -110 with Oswalt on the hill. He has had 2 solid games so far this year with a 2.25 ERA and hasn't lost a regular season game since July 30th, 2010.
here is another interesting fact; After taking two of three from the Nats, the Phils recorded their sixth straight series victory dating back to last season and have won 15 of the last 16 series................BoL tonight.............Bob

Twins, (2-2). I like the under in tonights game, which is 8.5 (-1.14) at 5dimes.

* Twins last eleven games are 9-1-1 to the Under.
* The Under is 7-2 the last nine meetings in Tampa.
* Ump (Carlson) is 2-0 for the Under in 2011.
* Blackburn is 2-0 for the Under.
* Davis is 2-0 for the Under.

Maur is on the DL that also helps, the Twins are having a hard time scoring runs and you take his stick out of the line-up and it just adds to the misery. The trends/stats above are nice but, look at the game and teams I would be suprised if this get to nine runs. Good Luck.

I'm on the Cards, posted it last night.. Got +112 now I see its much lower now.

Well its Garland's first start and the Cards bats have heated up. 23 runs last 2 games.. Lohse has pitched well this season and might be back to his old self.. Lohse is a flyball pitcher so he fits well @ dodger stadium..

James Loney is struggling really bad. No Furcal. Dodgers lineup other than Kemp,Either doesn't look too intimdating right now..

I like STL tonight..

Here is some info from a Dback's correspondent..

This team certainly does not strike out as much as teams in the past...we have no "ace" although kennedy and hudson would both qualify as 1a type guys...and putz will probably give us 10 wins that we didn't get last year, so a potential 20-game swing on that angle (yes, the bullpen was THAT bad last year, look it up)

i know for fact the dbacks consider kennedy to be much more the potential stud than hudson...something that i really would not have picked up on. i'm a very big hudson backer. fact is, the view is that kennedy has four pitches in which he will potentially command (including the world's best changeup allegedly) and hudson really only owns two. thus kennedy is deemed untouchable in this organization. i realize some love him, some hate him, but that is the perspective within.

early in the year, i am strictly playing overs in phx when the roof is open regardless of the pitching matchup. the ball flies off the bat, and even if it doesn't leave the yard, it gets on the defense alot faster than normal. this is worth chasing to me, so i will. but only with the roof open...the home squad, minus reynolds, instantly improved the k/ab ratio on offense, and with a manager that is loved by the team, the effort is there. overs will hit fairly regularly when the roof is open...the books just can't line them high enough.

team is much improved from what i can see. kennedy will have a junk outing like last night occasionally, but when he commands the change, he may be virtually unhittable, especially on the road in this division with pitcher's parks galore. we will probably see some good plus numbers this year, and putz as the bookend will probably fatten your account

boston... ok another great performance last night by the sox. fort. i stayed away.. beckett going today and looked great 2 of last 3 starts. i fully expect him to pitch well today, but no way can i lay the big chalk.i like sox -1.5 for a couple of reasons... tek is behind the plate which i honestly believe is huge for this strugghling staff, plus the sox are only starting 3 lefties in their lineup. sox runline for me.. gl!!!!
1. Jed Lowrie (S) SS
2. Dustin Pedroia (R) 2B
3. Adrian Gonzalez (L) 1B
4. Kevin Youkilis (R) 3B
5. David Ortiz (L) DH
6. Mike Cameron (R) RF
7. Jason Varitek (S) C
8. Darnell McDonald (R) LF
9. Jacoby Ellsbury (L) CF

Been on point with my Dodgers lately, as you all know the Dodgers aren't going good right now, but the best pitcher in the NL is on the mound for them tonight.. Price a little high, only thing I'd recommend is maybe a first five innings.. Dodgers BP has been used up and I really do not trust them right now..

Cards bats are hot. Not a good game to wager on IMO.. I will be at Dodger Stadium tomorrow watching it live. Carpenter.
