I know this site was founded on Sportsbetting and somewhat poker, but over the 15 years of therx this place has evolved into a lot more then just sportsbetting.

I would say over 50% of the offshore forum talks about things unrelated to sportsbetting. If therx was strickly a gambling site I would have made my last post over here over a year ago, but since there are other things to talk about other then sportsbetting I keep finding reasons to visit this place.

We have a political forum.
The offshore forum thats over 50% non sportsbetting. Talking about anything from American Idol, to the latest TV show, to IPHONEs, and golf. Basically any and everything under the sun.
Investment forum, and many other places to talk things non sportsbook related.

Off course therx would have to court other sponsors besides sportsbooks.

No reason APPLE or FORD would not put up a banner if the traffic was high enough.

So my basic question is could this place survive without legal sportsbetting in the USA?

No, if there's no advertising from online books and poker sites I don't see how the RX can survive unless they completely change their format and draw in other forms of business to advertise.

thats a gambling web site...

this place is no more than a " what's for dinner ? " web site....

Correct. I consider that be a good thing. If this place was 100% gambling I would not be here.
I do think it has just the right mixture of gambling to make the gamblers happy, and enough other stuff to keep the non gamblers happy.

I have always wondered why therx never tries to get non sportsbook advertisers.

People like Ford or Chevy. Dell, Apple etc...

Traffic is traffic.
I would imagine people on this site make at least slightly more money then the average population
This would be a good market base for companies targeting males between the ages of 18-55.
