Silver coin question

My Grandmother passed away and she had around 200 pounds of silver quarters and dimes from back in the day. My uncle is recieving half and my sister and myself are getting 1/4. I am planning on hanging on to mine, but my sister will most likely try to get cash. What is a fair price per ounce to give her or tell her what to try to get? If she deos sell them, what/where is the best place for her to do so?

Selling on Ebay for about 35x face value. I seen an auction end yesterday $4 face value for $139. I would sell it that way. Local dealers around here are buying anywhere from 20-27 times the face on coins. You may want to make sure you don't have any key dates in those coins.

and you might want to look up any silver refiners in your area.

The wife took a whole bunch of Silver there, and got rid of the Middle man.

You got over $1000 for stuff she will never use again..... Coins might be different, not sure.

Too many to list go buy a price guide for coins and look for the highest priced ones. I am sure someone here knows the most common key dates. I just buy and sell silver and never check myself. But I am never holding 200 pounds of stuff that has been stored for years either. Most of the stuff I buy has been gone throught 2000 times with very little chance of finding a key date.

do your homework for her and dont get scammed buy selling at a % of spot price etc....i dont know the coins but 1 oz silver rounds/bars if you offer free S&H are selling for $51/$52/$53 per oz

obviously if you have a lot of + feedback your gonna get top top dollar....thats about $6-8 OVER spot price per oz (like ive said many times you cant buy silver at spot if your a retail investor like myself) eBay and paypal take their fees which is why right now on eBay silver is selling above its all time previous high of $50oz....

Thanks guys, my wonderful, loving uncle offered her 4x face falue. He is in possesion of all of it right now, so I am sure any rare year will be gone already.

if you have enough send to TULVING (look up via google) for the best price...if you don't have enough to sell to him then maybe apmex.com
