Loved those Braves uniforms. Remember the ones from the 50's real well. Think these may have been from the late 40's . But the Brooklyn one's no, not so much. Looked a bit gay. Can't recall any team wearing powder blue back then. But I guess they must have. Anybody know what years those were from?

I always like the powder blue retro stuff regardless of the sport. The Charger one are awesome.

Listened to the game yesterday, with Vin Scully talking about the uniforms. He says his press release says they were from 1944 but he says he thinks it was 1946. That is one of the reasons I love listening to him and have since they moved to L.A. He is a treasure and I try to listen as much as I can while we still have him.

Anyway, he explained those uniforms yesterday were accurate in design and color but that the original ones were made of satin! He remembers how they shined during night games. That is why he questioned the year 1944 as they didn't play night games during the war years.

By the way, had the over 6 1/2 and with the score 2-1 Dodgers and the Braves down to their final out, I really enjoyed the outcome of 5-3 in extra innings, apart from Scully's usual great broadcast.
