As the title says...going to be laid up for the couple of months while I heal up. I would like to use my time off to get some non work related things accomplished. I have been thinking about reading some books on live poker and I love books about gambling, old Vegas, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Start a show you've pining to but haven't had the time to get around to yet. You'd be surprised how much time you can waste, lol.

Let me know what types of movies and fiction books you enjoy and I'll wrangle up a little list for you.

Been watching old family guy episodes. I don't read much fiction unless it is LOTR type stuff.

I've read most of these. They are all entertaining but I liked The Odds the best. Living It Up and Doubling Down in Las Vegas was pretty good also.

I remember you were at Wrestlemania a few weeks ago. Rent The True Story of Wrestlemania. You won't be disappointed.

A great action adventure author & protagonist is, Stephen Hunter's, Bob Lee Swagger. AKA the "Nailer", for his exploits as a Marine sniper in Nam. He's now back in civilian life in "Blue Eye, AR. "Point of Impact" is the 1st, then "Dirty White Boys", "Black Light" etc. great series if you're into that genre. 8hours of enjoyment from a TV series, "Lonesome Dove"!!, w/Duvall & Tommy Lee Jones. Book & movie, "Silence of the Lambs"!

He seems to be more of a fantasy fiction fan. I love Vonnegut but he's not the MOST accessible author there is.

If you like LOTR type, I recommend the Fire and Ice fantasy series. It's like 5 books and it's what HBO is basing GAME OF THRONES off of. It's written by George RR Martin.

Good luck with your surgery, first off. Then, I love the Showtime shows like weeds, nurse Jackie & californication. To name a few. Then there is always the old Seinfelds you didn't see lol.

Read the seven books of the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Combined about 3500 pages

Read the six books from James Ellroy starting with The Black Dahlia, The Big Nowhere, L.A. Confidential
