sometimes I wonder on here who actually played sports in life...the NBA was rigged in the Donaghy days, but it definitely is not now..the difference is night and day by OBSERVING and WATCHING...not what some book tells ya. I play and played sports and I can tell ya, the NBA was rigged more than most people (actual gamblers) on here know..but thats why they get(got) away with it cuz most people just want to be entertained and cant read between the lines...but anyway yeah Im liking both because A) hockey is exciting B) so is the NBA when its NOT RIGGEDich, wh near as much as it was 2-10 years ago. Its like baseball and steroids if anyone thinks Bud Selig didnt know about it..but anyway. Dont worry..the NBA will slowly become more rigged again tho trust me, so NHL might be a better 'historical' watch in the end. Its hit and miss and the riggers know that minds, especially fair weathered fickle American minds tend to forget easy so its STRATEGICALLY fixed..and not fixed. Its not much, or at all, different than modern day politics.
i think the whole fixing thing is just a shot at the league by anti-nba people. i mean whos to say the nhl doesn't fix games if you want to go that way. they need the viewership and tv audiences more then the nba. they would have more of an agenda to get stars and big cities in a stanley cup. i wont throw out the fact that its possible a ref could be on the take with a spread since its easier in the other sports then hockey.
to assume a league wide agenda to get certain teams to face each other though is too far fetched for me.

Crazy it does the same ratings as law and order reruns at 2am. Give it a rest guys nobody cares.....Ill take Bron, Kobe, KG, Rondo, DRose etc over the NHL anyday. If you offered me free tix to an nhl playoff game its like 50/50 id go
