Not sure I would call him a new "stud". 3 teams have given up on him since 2007. Not saying he won't be a good pitcher, but he has a lot to accomplish before he's called a stud.

Nice game last night, though.

Kid walked into a good situation last night.

He was facing a Yankee team that never saw him before, usually that's advantage for the pitcher.
He was also facing a Yankee team that has been raking for over a week, and baseball law says all teams eventually cool off.

Now, having said all that, kid was razor sharp last night, hit all his spots and deserved and earned that stellar decision.
