I've always been in the front of the Gallardo bandwagon, but after pitching a 2 hit shutout gem on opening day, he's been really bad.
Second start he won an ugly 6-5 decision, lost his third start giving up ten hits, 7 earned in five innings, 8-4.
Last start he won an ugly 14-7 game giving up 4 runs in 6 innings.
He's getting hit hard.
Overall the current Reds lineup flat out owns Gallardo.
Collectively they are 37-107 against him. (.346)
Brandon Phillips is 7-19 against him (.368) with a dinger 5 RBI's
Votto is 6-17 lifetime (.353)
Jay Bruce is an ungodly 6-11 (.545) with a dinger off Gallardo
Janish .333 Stubbs .333, the meat of the order owns him
Sam LeCure is a replacement starter, but the Reds are 1 for 15 against him, no big cross section, but gives me an indication.
I'm looking at the experienced Reds bats to continue torturing Gallardo, looking for LeCure to turn in 5 nice innings, let the bullpen close it out.
Should get +130 or so.
