It's after 5pm and the tornado is still on the ground. Unreal. This is the biggest tornado that I've seen since the Oklahoma City category 5 tornado of 1999,

F5 supposedly passed through tuscaloosa earlier. 200+ mph confirmed winds - the guys on the weather say they have never seen anything like it. Debris from tusc being blown to birmingham. Looks like it will pass about 10 mins south of me - scary stuff. I know one poster who is right in the path...hope he has a safe spot.

I hear Oswalt's house got hit, or near miss, I do know he left the team to get home.

Really serious situation here fellas...about 15 mins south of my house 3 places that we used to frequent for food are completely gone..directly behind them was a subdivision of some 75 to 100 garden homes. No word on any damage on them yet....the wife and I know several people who lost everything they had in the storms. Apparantly the power outages are almost state wide and there are reports of massive gas leaks. Fortunately for us we have a generator so we are okay for now, but there are a lot of people close by here who are hurting badly.

We have mail from a bank and a KFC in tuscaloosa blow up in my yard...keep in mind I live over an hour from t-town. My parents had mail from columbus MS show up at their house and they live 5 mins from me. 25 people at least confirmed dead at the moment...i expect some kind of disaster situation to be called for tomorrow sometime.

I'm in Fairfield County Ct., not exactly tornado alley.
We got one last summer that ripped apart a five block section of Bridgeport, which is a large city.
Missed the court house by 100 feet, one block still isn't rebuilt.

Possibly the best video of a tornado I've ever seen. Thanks to the crazy mfer who filmed it while his truck was almost lifted off the ground.

Hey bro , i'm not sure if i'm the poster you were taliking about but we escaped. The tornado was well north of us but my neighborhood took a big hit from the 75 mph winds that came through 6:00 am. One of my neighbors had a large oak fall on her car with such force it flattened the tires. ...been without power since 6 am yesterday , THANK GOD FOR THE GENERAC .
