and since I am on a new album kick..The new Beastie Boys album is out..Here is the first video. Hilarious star studded video

The video for "Make Some Noise," the first single from the Beastie Boys' long-awaited new album Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2, may be the most star-studded music video of all time. The clip, which features Seth Rogen, Danny McBride and Elijah Wood as young versions of the trio, overflows with cameos by well-known actors including Will Ferrell, Jack Black, John C. Reilly, Ted Danson, Rashida Jones, Will Arnett, Amy Poehler, Mary Steenburgen, Jason Schwartzman, Rainn Wilson, Steve Buscemi, Chloe Sevigny, Maya Rudolph, Malin Akerman and Orlando Bloom – just to name a few.
The guest stars are fun, but the charm of the video lies in how well it captures the Beastie Boys' distinct style and wit. Elijah Wood's performance in particular is amazing – he truly embodies the goofy energy of the young Ad-Rock.

I saw a good show on VH1 on Foo Fighters, must have been behind the music. I'll see if I can find it, Grohl talks about Kurt's suicide and the show goes up until the show at Wembley. It also goes over all of the bandmates turnover and the last thing grohl says is that if he knew how successful they were going to be, he would not have chosen a stupid name like Foo fighters.

The new album is supposed to be the 3rd best FF albums behind their first 2. They had some good songs off their later albums but their was also some very weak tunes. This album was produced by Butch Vig who did Nirvana's Nevermind. Saw FF about 5 years ago and Weezer opened for them. The show was easily in my top 5.

Their last album was one of my favorites. "The Pretender " & "Let It Die" are great songs. Let it Die probably in my top 3 FF songs. They opened up the concert I saw doing that one and I thought the roof of the Rose Garden was going to come tumbling down.

Pretender is probably their best single. Not necessarily best song (certainly in the argument though), but best single. If you were going to pick one song for the radio, it would be The Pretender.

But overall, probably their weakest album.

New album is getting good reviews. Thought Grohl was going to take a break from Foo Fighters...wasn't much of a break.
