"The Puerto Rican Day Parade" is the 176th and antepenultimate episode of the NBC sitcom Seinfeld. It aired on May 7, 1998, and was the 20th episode of the 9th and final season. It was the show's second-highest-rated episode of all time, with 38.8 million viewers, only behind the series finale. The episode aired one week before the two-part clip show and the two-part series finale aired. Because of controversy surrounding a scene in which Cosmo Kramer accidentally burns and then stomps on the Puerto Rican flag, NBC refused to show it again and it was not initially part of the syndicated package. In the summer of 2002, the episode started to appear with the flag-burning sequence intact. On certain channels, such as TBS, the episode continues not to air.

All I remember is that episode was one of the worst. That series really went downhill after Larry David left at the end of season 7.

Speaking of Seinfed, there's a XXX company that spoofs movies and tv and they did one on Seinfeld.

I have an unopened complete series I bought for 89.00 on Amazon, thanks to Buster. Maybe I'll open her up, obviously I'm not going to sell it like I planned.

what a lousy finale they had for such a great show...it was really a letdown.....you wish they could have closed with one of their best , instead of one of the worst......it just wasnt very funny.....bubble boy would have made a better finale...LOL

i just cant believe how bad the show was its first 2 or so years.. those re-runs are painful to watch.

in fact , i didnt watch the show back then . started to get into it about 1/2 way thru its run.

the finale wasnt very good .. but i did like how they brought everyone back and the premise of how they'd all lived their lives not caring about anything was a good idea.

Chicken Roaster and Frogger are ok but the rest of those episodes sucked. I just think that when Larry David left the George character just lost whatever made him interesting. They all became regular sitcom characters. Reminds me of this which perfectly describes the life of a sitcom:

Did anyone watch last season's Curb your Enthusiasm with the fake episode of Seinfeld they made. It gives you a glimpse of just how bad the show would be if it had kept going.

Worst episode ever was "The Van"

Seinfeld mailed in the entire last season, until the final episode, which Larry David wrote.
David left the show after season seven, losing David (this generations greatest comedy writer) was the sole reason seasons seven and eight was mediocre.
The final episode he wrote was one of the most watched TV shows in TV history.
If there was a season ten with David, the show would have found it's fastball again.

The most successful episode was "The Contest"

about the OT episode , i don't know why they wont air it. all the PC i guess. kinda like the episode with kramer going to dentist and wearing those jump shoes and dude thinkin he's handicapped, i think its called "the jimmy". funny ass episode but i hardly ever see it replayed.

as for the last two seasons, i thought they were funny, they just really went out there with the silliness. as mentioned , episodes like frogger and roaster chicken and butter shave. they were just so absurd that they were funny imo.

and i agree the finale was weak, aside from seeing all the ex characters over the years.
