If every RXer donated $1 to the orphans at Open Arms Costa Rica think how much that would help those children.

Ted,
We all have our own special charities. I give to the Nevada Childhood Cancer Fdn every year. We can't give $ 1 to every worthy cause unless We are very wealthy which I am not.

Sorry to burst your bubble Dante but the rich don't give a fuck about the poor unless it can benefit them somehow.

One million wouldn't cover the security for this wedding. I bet the amount they spent is truly staggering.

The important thing is that you give and make a difference to those in need. (<)<

i see what you're saying but same argument could be made all the time....what if all the companies that pay 1.5 million for 30 seconds during the superbowl gave that money to chairty rather than 1 commercial how much it would help, or the money oprah spent to fly 250 people to australia for a week and house them, etc....

I agree there are those that need it, but EVERYONE spends money foolishly on some scale..

And if they do give, they want everybody to know about it. Somehow I don't see a Donald Trump giving an anonymous donation to anybody. He's going to make sure the whole world knows what a good guy he is. I think all of us mere mortals would be shocked with how much money rich people blow. Not just on things like extravagant weddings, but in their day to day lives. I've got one rich friend that I've known since highschool. When I see how much this guy spends without even thinking about it, it blows my mind. That's why I have no compassion for him when it comes to having to pay his taxes every year.

honestly, if this wedding is the thing that makes you think of this, it's too late. the ridiculousness of how wealth is appropriated is by far the largest black eye on the modern/industrialized world. there's absolutely no reason anyone should go without food or shelter, and the fact that our leaders, who conveniently are used as examples for the idea of "success", have no excuse for not promoting or envisioning ways to allow everyone the basic right to live. it's a disgrace - and i only wish I had taken a path that allowed me to give more.

That stupid Libya adventure of Obama already has cost 10X the 100 million estimate of the wedding. The monarchy has an approval rating of 75% in Britain.

"appropriated" ??????????????????? what the hell are you talking about. You complain about people that have more than you and even funnier is you posting this on a GAMBLING website....makes you look foolish.

If you took all your gambling money from the last 4 years and invested that in GOLD you would have made over 150% on that money.

typical envious lazy ass that complains about someone that has more than you do. Can't even make this up its so funny

... and that's not even one tenth of one percent spent in Iraq rebuilding their roads and bridges ... not the war ... just the rebuilding.

Get it from the oil companies they the one that making all the money

They're making money because people don't take public transport, they drive everywhere, they don't live in the city and they buy SUV's.

I don't begrudge the oil companies for making money ... I hope they make a shitload of money ... if someone is stupid enough buy SUV's and minivans, they need to pay.

Same goes for Apple. If someone wants to buy a new iPhone and iPad every year ... that's fine ... just don't cry about Apple making $6 billion this year.

never complained about not having money, or about those that do - just that more isn't done with it for those who have no chance in life. i'm content with my financial situation, and what i do with my money - and like most everyone, I work everyday towards more.

The problem with this world?

There are too many f'in people and we are living too long. Not everyone can have food, shelter, healthcare, clothing, etc. There just aren't enough resources for all the people we have in this world. I think we all do the best we can to provide these things for every living person, but there are too many people.

What should be done? People need to carry their weight. You need to work and support yourself. You shouldn't be popping out a hundred kids if you cannot support them. Start taking some responsibility for your actions! There always needs to be a safety net for those that are at the poverty level and those who are disabled but everyone needs to do their part (I.e. If you are poor, concentrate on getting any job you can and don't have any kids until you can support them).
