Might even be less when 5 Dimes has their reduced juice going..

Florida is on fire and Johnson might be the best pitcher in baseball. Isn't this hard to pass up?

Josh Johnson
3-0
5 starts
W's against PIT, NYM,(not exactly tough wins) and ATL (other 2 were WAS (not impressed) and COL)
Im a big JJ fan (even on my fantasy team) and thinks hes a stud pitcher but he hasnt had real tough comp. this year yet.
And CIN has been KILLIN the ball this year. and they are at home

Im not saying he doesnt get the win Im just sayin its not as crazy of a number as it seems.

I remember hearing a stat on JJ during the last Marlins telecast.

This season, batters facing him for the first time in the lineup are a combined 0 for 44 against him with a few walks scattered in. Second time, they are 0 for 38 with a few more walks scattered in. I'm not 100% sure on the numbers, but I am 100% sure that no batter has gotten a hit against him the first two times they've seen him. That is mindblowing.

If I play this one, it'll be a 1st 5 innings play since I don't trust Florida's bullpen. Volquez has pitched better lately, but he was an absolute disaster earlier this year. He has also given up 4, 3, and 4 earned runs in the first inning of his home starts this year (respectively). If the Fish can get 2-3 runs on the board in the first 5, you have to love the chances of the 1st 5 play cashing.

yes, absolutely let the line influence you. There are reasons unbeknownst to all of us.

Last nite I thought the line was fishy with Lincecum at -156. We all know what happened in that game. If it looks too good to be true, it usually is.
