I have this or the year after, but in Horrible shape...... so probably worth nothing
All my cards are packed up in Boxes, taped up and I almost never look at them unless I hear such and such card sold for X amount of money.
Since i remember that my early year Gretzky card is in bad condition ...I won't be going through my boxes anytime soon.

Card had to be a 10.0 PSA MINT-MINT.

Had a couple of these in EX to NRMT condition a few years back(pre-1995) that I purchased for $300 each............sold them both a few years later for a small profit......probably should have kept one.

betallsports if u have this exact card (even if in bad shape) its still worth a few bucks.. if it is a genuine Gretzky rookie even fairly decent ones go for 80-100$ because they are genuine.. there has been thousands of reproductions that look EXACTLY like the card done so people pay a premium for a guaranteed real deal.

I have cards worth a lot more than $100 bucks.. so no big deal
and I hope they just go up as the years go by......

thought about going through them again, but it would take Weeks.....I have well over 10,000 cards from all sports.

These will go to my Grandkids, they can go through them when I'm gone.

I was looking at buying one of these in the early 90's but the $1,000 price tag kept me away.

i have a lot of cards too. I love collecting still to this day. Even if I find an out of shape mantle, if I have a spare 100$ or so I usually pick it up if I am in the market for it. Having a Mickey Mantle card to me is a great feeling. :D

I have a few Mickey Mantle cards, two that are worth very nice Money

Use to be into this a lot more Pre 1980's
I stopped around 2001, other than a few cards here and there.. I'm kind of done...

last big pick up was Stephen Strasburg, 30 Rookie cards in total
Now I just have to hope he doesn't turn out to be a Bust.

My Collection is 85% baseball, 7% Football, 5% NBA, 3% Hockey

They are not hard cards to find. Centered Gretzky rookie cards are very hard to find though.

You guys are going to make me go through those Boxes ##)

Then when I look at it and see it's probably a 3 or 4, it's just going to piss me off !

people still buy 3s and 4's. nothing wrong with those for a set collector.

Agree, just don't feel like looking for it ( nobody is making me ) just saying

because if this card that sold for $94K is Mint ... means it's a 9
and maybe I forgot what mine was.... if it's a 6 or 7, might be worth looking for :)

LOL, well I guess you can do it that way.....

And I do have over 300 or so Cards already Graded... my two Mantle's are Graded and sitting in a safe.. along with a few others.

...................................................................

Thought the Gretzky card that sold was a Mint card ?? that would be a 9 at PSA
Gem Mints are 10's

It was always my idea to pass them down to my kids
and since I had a Daughter and Not a Son, figure I would just give them to her Son.

back in the Early 80's, I gave my oldest nephew 2 Cigar boxes of Baseball cards as a Birthday present.
In those boxes I KNOW that there were 4 Johnny Bench and 3 Pete Rose Rookie Cards, along with a ton of 70's Topps cards ( which had many many Stars )
I can't even Think how much those two boxes are worth Today.

Of course that was not even a 1/4 of the cards that I had for the 70's, but thought it was a Great Birthday gift at the time.
