The team has also compiled a losing 21-22 mark at Comerica Park since it opened in 2000. New York is 12-6 versus right-handed starters this season and 151-92 over the last three years.

Yankees starter Bartolo Colon is 2-1 with a 2.77 ERA in five appearances (two starts), with the club winning his last two outings by a combined score of 9-3. The right-hander is coming off his best start of the season, tossing eight innings of one-run ball, while allowing seven hits at home to the Chicago White Sox. Colon will be making his third appearance (second start) away from Yankee Stadium, entering with an even 1-1 record and 2.45 ERA, as opponents are managing to hit just .179 against him.

Detroit suffered a 5-4 loss to Cleveland on Sunday afternoon and will begin a four-game homestand tonight. The Tigers will look to star Miguel Cabrera to lead the team offensively, entering tonight's game having hit safely in 25 of his 26 games during his career against the Yankees. He enters tonight's action hitting .372 with 10 home runs and 23 RBI versus the Bronx Bombers. The starting staff will also aim to continue its hot pitching in the early going, posting a quality start in 17 of its last 24 games. Detroit is 6-12 versus right-handed starters.
