I'm just saying that Tiger at + 450 is a terrible wager... Do you agree ? I wouldn't wager Tiger at 10/1 right now.

its beted.......they have about a 40% hold on this id imagine..........10-1 or so on tiger would be about right

i agree 4/1 is a really terrible wager on him right now. I would put a little on him at 10/1 though, just cause I'm a homer. He opened up at +550 for the masters i believe, so i'm sure that number will go up

Yes, 10/1 is pretty close to what the true odds should be, but my point being that because We are talking Tiger woods.... You will never see 10/1 odds at any Sportsbooks anywhere.

Royal St George is a very similar course to St. Andrews, which Tiger owns. Not saying that Tiger should be the favorite, but something to think about. I do know that betting on Phil in the Open is like burning your money.

Ryo Ishikawa +15000 looks go to me.

i had him at 9.5/1 for the masters, and some books had him at 10/1 for a brief time

Please don't tell RedEye....

Don't tell me What ? My take on Tiger as the favorite right now is the same as it has been. I would put the line somewhere around 8/1 - 10/1 too if I was running a shop.Their are alot of fools that bet on him no matter what the odds are to win. Why would I give better odds on Tiger if people are going to bet him anyway ? So you just can't post up a # thats really accurate. Just because I am down on him right now doesn't mean others don't think he can win it. Just like any other sport, we all cap things our own way and have different favorites. I take into account he hasn't won in along time, or doesn't putt very well, or his body is breaking down. Others cap it on what he use to do. Thats fine with me, gives me better odds on the rest of the players that I might play or hedge.

If Tiger doesn't have any more injury setbacks, his game could be pretty sharp by the time they get to the British Open....just sayin'

No disrespect to you or Kermit...just pointing out that Tiger will always be the favorite 90% of the time in all future Majors in the next 3 years...and he would never be a dog in a head to head match for 18 holes....rankings are a joke right now....

You can find tiger at plus money for 1 round of golf very often actually, at least so far this year you can. If you bet the guy that's favored over him, you usually do pretty well, and this is coming from a tiger homer.

I see that, but nobody will be favored over him at the beginning of a major....in game or in progress is different....

VJ Singh @ +10000?

Man is OVERdue.

Can't overlook this 100-1 horse.

Tiger getting money from grandmothers and paper delivery boys could make Singh 115-1 at post time.

If Tiger is and will be the favorite 90 % of the time in all future Majors for the next 3 years as you pointed out, What this really means is that there will be some fantastic $$ to be made in the next 3 years. Betting anyone just because of what He or She used to be is simply throwing away one's $$. Like I have said many times, I only like to gamble when the odds favor me. Right now wagering on Tiger to win any Major at the ridiculous odds of + 450 is throwing away your $$ and certainly isn't a value wager.
