No.

@ nes,
I did hear about it. I heard they are still in town and haven't finished business. It makes sense though, that they won't make it public until they finish and are out.

Re: Costa Rica OIJ raids PokerStars and AP/UB offices in Costa Rica
PokerStars continues to operate the world's largest poker room, business as usual. It is true that the OIJ is currently at the PokerStars Costa Rican office and has sent employees home temporarily, but employees will be able to return in a few hours. PokerStars expects the office to return to business as usual in short order as this action was most likely taken as a response to problems experienced by other local companies in the same industry.

:money:

So basically the local courts and politicians have $$$ signs in their eyes. Preet Bharara says there is $3 billion, and everyone wants their proper piece of the loot.

Sorry for all Costa Rican employees of these companies, you are soon out of a job. No reason for Poker Stars to stay here if this is how Costa Rica decides to treat them. No reason for any of the sportsbooks to stay here much longer either, the writing is on the wall.

Police raided Friday morning six local Internet poker companies operating in Costa Rica.

Agents had a criminal search warrant issued by prosecutors of a Pavas court against at least six offices and residential homes associated with the online poker companies.

The police action follows a prosecution by prosecutors in New York and the Manhattan court against 3 online poker sites that operate or are headquartered in the country. These places are searched for the crimes of money laundering bank fraud and illegal gambling.

Following this and the publication of Telenoticias the prosecution began its investigations and therefore decided to hit these sites located in Escazu, Santa Ana and Rohmoser.
