T-CANE - Sorry didn't see your question about the Rangers/Mariners game until just now...
The Rangers are slumping offensively right now & having a difficult time manufacturing runs...absolutely can't continue to rely on home runs to win games. They need to get back to playing small ball for now, focus on stealing bases, getting runners in scoring position and making hits. That's how they were successful last season...a good mix of small ball & home runs is what makes this team a strong threat. Their pitchers did well at the beginning of the season, but I don't see that continuing with their current starting rotation. Until the offense picks up again and we get our closer back...I'll pick their division rivals playing at home any day.
I'm on the Yankees this evening...Rangers finished a late game last night, flying back from Seattle to Dallas and playing the Yankees? Just don't see things changing this evening...hopefully the Rangers will come back around soon, but strongly feel they'll lose this one tonight. With Harrison starting tonight and Nova pitching well in his last 3 starts, the score could get ugly pretty quick. One last note, the Rangers have only won 3 of their last 11 games since they swept the Royals at home.
