Okay, let's take a closer look at them and toss some out.

Archarcharch- This one's speed figures put's him in the mix. Don't like the one hole at all. Gonna need a great trip but we'll keep him in.

Brilliant Speed- No matter how you slice it, just not fast enough. Gone.

Twice The Appeal- Here is a horse that logic says toss, but fuck logic. I just can't get over the move forward this horse made under a new trainer. Because of this and his jock, we keep him in.

Stay Thirsty- Can't make a case for this one. Adios.

Decisive Moment- Didn't run in a major prep. Speed figs nothing to like. May have an effect on early pace but that is it. Toss.

Comma To The Top- I think the horse will be on the lead and last longer than a lot of people think. But won't be there at the end. Bye.

Pants On Fire-Last prep was LA Derby on 3-26. Not route I like. Can understand why some people like this horse at a price, but I will pass.

Dialed In- Obviously a nice horse. Should like the distance. In.

Derby Kitten- Ran a nice race In the Lexington. Asking a lot to go to the Derby off of that as a prep. Throw.

Twinspired-Got caught at the end of the BG. Seems to be improving. A tracking trip may be what wins this. Leave him in.

Master Of Hounds. Nice horse. Speed figures would put him in there. However I am tossing him because history says horses don't ship from overseas and do well in this race. See ya.

Santiva- Just too slow for my liking. Hasta luego.

Mucho Macho Man- Live long shot.

Shackleford- Nice horse. Will be up front. Sholud carry his speed a little longer than Comma, but don't see him getting the mile and a quarter. Ciao.

Midnight Interlude- Has a big shot.

Animal Kingdom- I really like this horse, but not for this race. Is green and comes out of a week prep. I expect to hear more from this one over the summer but not here. Pass.

Soldat- If you throw out his last, you have to love him. Should get a stalking trip. I like him.

Uncle Mo- A favorite who draws a bad post and has health issues. If he beats me, so be it. Pass.

Nehro- Has run two nice times in a row on different tracks. I think with the added distance he turns the table on both Pants on Fire and Archarcharch. In.

Watch Me Go- Okay. Gone.

That leaves me with Archarcharch,Twice the Appeal,Dialed In,Twinspired,Mucho Macho Man, Midnight Interlude,Soldat, and Nehro.

Disclaimer: If you like a horse, please do not let me talk you off of him. This is only one man's opinion.

Okay, now for my breakdown of the race.
The Start
Archarcharch breaks sharply in order to get clear to move away from the rail. Comma To The Top gets away the quickest though. Shackleford hustles to the front from the outside. Decisive Moment gets away well, as does Uncle Mo. Nehro drops back off the start to save ground as does Dialed In.

First turn.
Comma has the lead with Shackleford on his shoulder. Mo has to go a little wide. Decisive is behind Them. Followed by Master Of Hounds and Arch.

The Half goes in 46.1
Comma still has a head in front of Shack. Mo is in third next to Decisive. Master of Hounds has moved up behind them. A small break back to Pants, Soldat and Midnight.

3/4 Pole

Comma is starting to fall back. Shack has put a head in front with Mo just off of him. Master of Hounds is starting to struggle as is Decisive moment. Archarcharch has moved up into contention, followed by Soldat and Midnight. Twice the Appeal has positioned himself mid pack. Things are starting to stir way back with Nehro starting to move. Dialed in is still running unhurried.

Top of the Stretch- Shack is done, Mo has had it. Soldat has taken the lead followed by Arch.Midnight is still there. Twice Appeal is just off of them.A calvary charge is coming from the back. That pack includes Nehro, MMM, Twin, and Dialed In.

Mid-stretch- Soldat holding the lead. Arch starting to fade as Midnight and Twice pass him. Twin and MMM have flattened out, but Nehro and Dialed In are both closing rapidly.

At the wire it is Soldat, Nehro, Midnight, Twice, Dialed In

On Saturday I will post what I actually play. Good luck to all. Any questions, fire away.

Good stuff Judge. Nehro, Dialed In, and Soldat are the 3 I'm leaning toward with my tri box. I'm not as sold on Midnight Interlude as you are though, and have no real clue what to do with Twice the Appeal. Great spot in the gate and Borel on top should help but I have a feeling bettors drive those odds down in a big way.

Not really crazy about any of these horses. They all have flaws. Will keep fine tuning up until Saturday and prices will dictate much of what I do.

I'll toss Archarcharch completely; he looks like the kind of horse who loves to run wide while in the clear and he won't be able to do that due to the rail post.

With his bursts of speed, he might get good position;remember I said might...

Don't throw this horse out...

With Mo scratching the fractions will be a little slower, speed will carry a little further making it tougher on the closers. I think it moves Archarcharch up a little. He has no speed to the right of him so he should be able to get over without getting boxed. Gonna hurt Nehro a little as we as the favorite Nailed In.

I have a system for the ponies.

First thing I look for is one with brown fur. 2nd thing is white ankles. 3rd a short name.

Find a horse with brown fur, white ankles and a short name.

It works as well as any other system I have tried.
