I am half way through it.

So far is has been boring and barely funny. Very mundane stuff.

I don't get all the the hype.

Does it get better or is it more of the same?

It's a period piece and a character study. So, if you're looking for
action and lots of drama, you won't like it.

I watched it a couple weeks ago with the wife. With all the hype,
and being best picture and all we came away disappointed.

It was pretty good, but over-hyped in my opinion.

That being said, Colin Firth did a fantastic job.

It's just somewhat frustrating to see the story move along. It kind of lacks a good cohesiveness; a glue if you will.

I made it to the end.

It is a good story, but not a good movie.

There is no drama and no action. For me, a movie has to have one of those things for it to be worth watching.

I don't get all the acting praise. Nothing difficult about playing a British royal who shows emotion once in a while.

I thought it was a great movie - the scene where he goes to family's house.

Of when HB carter first goes to check out geoffery rush the dialouge is priceless.

Yes your right short on drama and action, but i really felt the characters were all so believable - my cousin had a stutter when we were kids so i felt some empathy as well

Yeah, Colin Firth's performance ALONE is worth watching it. The subject matter is not for everyone, I'll admit, but I disagree that a movie cannot be a straight character piece and be bad. But different strokes for different folks.
