Good Monday to you all.
I've been enjoying everyone's writeups in recent threads.
I'll be on the LAD/Pitt over on monday. Billingsley is 4-0 vs Pitt but that's in 8 starts w/an era at almost 5. Pitt throws Karstens whos era is over 6 vs the Dodgers and has been knocked around in recent starts. With Ethier's streak over, I think he'll benefit from the lack of pressure.
I would bet Dodgers here but I'm concerned about the relief staff, so the over seems to be the smart play. I'm anxious to see who's HP ump but for now...
LAD/Pitt over 7.5

4-5-2 LAD plays

OAK Cahill +115 (3units) - Against lefties, the A's are 8-3 on the season. The Rangers meanwhile have won only 3 or their last 10 games, OAK won 6 of their last 10. The better play may be OAK in first 5 innings, but i'll be bettin the game win.

Like the sox today with Beckett. I know Blackburn hasn't lost to this team yet but he hasnt faced them in two years and he is being called in late to replace Liriano who is battling the flu.
I would not play the -230 but the run line at -110 should be fine. This team is just starting to hit!

Oakland vs. Texas

* Under 8.5
* No Score 1st inning

Two very good pitchers. Wind is blowing in 17-20 mph. Should be a low scoring game. Both medium-sized plays for me.

* Texas

In my opinion, CJ is solid and shouldn't have problems with this Oak offense. Cahill is the question mark for me. He is a good pitcher and his numbers are great so far, but he really hasn't had that bad of a schedule. Four of his seven starts were at home. He has pitched on the road at Seattle, Chi WSox and Toronto. He got rocked in Chi; however, he did pitch a very good game at Toronto. I'll take a chance on Texas for a medium-sized play.

BOL!

Tex bats .104 against Cahill @ Arlington, Cahill owns the Rangers lineup.. But Wilson owns the A's lineup as well.. With that being said I invested on under last night 8.5. I also like Rangers TT under 4.

The only concern is the wind and the park.. But Cahill has dominated the Rangers before at Arlington and Hamilton isn't there.. Its not like the Rangers have been killing it anyway,

I really like the under as well. Wind is blowing IN pretty hard and according to the forecast is should remain so throughout the game.

correct me if i'm wrong....but when the wind blows in at the ballpark in arlington, the ball carries well to dead center, right?
i like the under in this game as well, should be a winner as long as the leadoff hitters dont get on...lots of small ball in this game

FYI - no Beltre tonight

Taylor - I've seen the wind blow in before and it not have much of an effect on the ball carrying to center. There is what the commentators call a "jet stream" in the ballpark. The wind tonight looks to be blowing in somewhat from center. I still think the under I the play as Cahill and Wilson won't make as many mistakes as an average to below average pitcher would

i think when it blows in from center it keeps the ball in the air and carries ONLY to dead center, but the ball has to be hit high and only to dead center...i'm about 80% sure that is right, but could be wrong...

regardless of what the wind is doing, i agree with you on the under here. good luck hookem...lets get a 4-2 final here
