what a classless thing to do...it's not Dallas's fault that your team didnt show up this series, and got blasted....why don't you take cheap shots at your own team....

I agree with announcer, that was one of the most "bush league" things i have seen in years in pro sports.....and to think, he'll still get paid big money for playing and doing that......hopefully the fine will offset it.......

He'll be remembered for that move for a long time..

Totally classless.

He could have *easily* broken ribs on the guy - who's earned the right to go on to compete in the next round of the NBA playoffs.

I hate that bullshit.

the move was classless but I was far from shocked to see it happen. Nobody likes to be embarrassed and sure you can say if you don't like it, do something it about it. But sometimes a team just owns your ass. The mavs are running up the score and trying to embarrass the Lakers. Both teams should have emptied the bench a long time ago, especially the mavs since they still have more games to come and its dumb to risk key players up 25+ in 4th quarter. As "professionals and competitors" nobody likes to take a beat down and tempers will flare with ease. This scenario could have been easily avoided by both teams.

So you're blaming the Mavs?

Guess you don't remember when the Lakers were down 27 in the 4th, and came back to beat the Mavs.

im blaming both coaches and both teams. both coaches should have emptied the bench, the mavs should have not been running up the score (launching 3's with 20 seconds left on shot clock) and the lakers should have shown composure.

no doubt he deserves to be ejected, but the nba of yester year, which many people clamor for, which was more physical, hits like those were to be expected when one team was percieved as running up the score.

people cant have it both ways. 20 years ago there would be no problem with what happened.

with the increased rules put in place, in an attempt to prevent that thuggery from happenning, people complain and say that things are too restrictive now and they are to anxious about calling fouls.

so what is it. do you want more physicality, or are you ok with it the way the game is now?

I am sure if the Lakers would have pulled Kobe, Bynum, Gasol and Fisher, then the Mavs would have pulled their players....but as long as Lakers have their stars out there, they are saying they arent giving up, so no reason for Dallas to say they will......

Like someone said, we've seen some big comebacks......and as long as Lakers are trying then Dallas should too...

and i still dont think ANY of that condones what he did...it was a cheap shot...it wasnt a hard foul like u see sometimes, it was a cheap shot to a defenseless play and it WASNT an accident...it was done with intent to injure

maybe the the worst cheap shot I have ever seen in baskets, seen several in football. going to cost him a bunch and look for him being suspended for the first 5 to 10 games next year. totally classless.

Come on. I prefer the NBA of 80s & 90s...think of the Alonzo-era Heat/Knicks slugfests.

But this clearly crossed the line between cheap-shot, and hard foul. Bynum's play would have been a penalty in the NFL!

if the mavs were worried about any type of "comeback" by the lakers they would have been running clock. They were trying to embarrass the lakers and in doing so got a reaction that is not very surprising.
