Both, they QUIT and got outplayed. No team can stay at the top forever. They went to the finals 6 times in 11 years which is crazy during these NBA times when alot of teams are filled with talented players. You know that saying "The higher you are, the harder you fall". Regardless, even if they had won this year, they would be in trouble next year. But I honestly thought they would at least win one more year.
they went 2-1 vs dallas in regular season. it think it was a combination of a few things. they did lose to a better team but i dont think dallas was a sweep better. lakers should have at least won 2 games in this series if they were gonna lose and not get embarrassed. last time this happened was the series vs phx when kobe quit on the team.
